To guide SCSBA's advocacy efforts, delegates from boards governing South Carolina's school districts annually vote on priorities and beliefs submitted by member boards and staff. Resolutions adopted by delegates help SCSBA officers and staff to address various policy and legislative issues related to public education that arise during the year. Download

Advocacy teleconference September 30
Your South Carolina School Boards Association has again brought its annual fall legislative advocacy meeting to school districts …free of charge! SCSBA’s live teleconference on SCETV digital channel (closed circuit) 4 was broadcast from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 30. School boards were encouraged to email their questions about the upcoming legislative session or election in advance of the teleconference.

Enough is enough!
No more cuts, mandates or excuses.
SCSBA kicked off "Enough is enough! No more cuts, mandates or excuses." in response to unprecedented funding cuts to public schools.
Embattled school districts are being forced to take drastic steps to address the more than $800 million in cuts over the past two years. Enough is enough The initiative included a launch March 10 and education rallies throughout the state.
